Chorus is a class offered at Nazareth. Students may sign up for a half credit or a full credit, taking the course for half a year or a full year. In this class, students get the opportunity to expand their musical knowledge, learning how to read music and to become a better singer.
The students get the chance to show off what they learned in several concerts that are held throughout the year. |
Choral is a group of selected students. The students have to try out and only a small number make it into this musical group. This group is also taught by Mrs. Rocchi and is held after school from 3 to 4 P.M. on Tuesdays and
Thursdays.
They perform at the chorus’ concerts also. They also make appearances at Moravian Hall Square and other local places. |

| Winter Concert | Pops Concert | Spring Concert |
|---|---|---|
| The winter concert is made up of a variety of different winter holidays. Singing songs
from many different cultures, the singing groups impress everyone with their skill. Songs
range from classical favorites, such as Run Rudolph Run, to songs in a variety of foreign
languages, like Hebrew. This concert is usually held in early December before the winter break. |
Each year, a theme is chosen by Mrs. Rocchi. The songs are different than those
performed at the winter and spring concerts. The students have a fun time trying a new genre
that is usually more upbeat and fun to sing. The Pops Concert is usually held in mid-February. |
The spring concert is usually a mixture of peaceful, relaxing songs. It is known as the
Spring Serenade. The students start working on these songs immediatly after the Pops
Concert. For this concert, a special selection is dedicated to the graduating seniors. The graduating students are pointed out while Mrs. Rocchi reads a small biography about them . |
